CAN ANYBODY RUN?

For most people the answer to that is "yes". With proper instruction and a step-by-step approach, the majority of people can take up running as a leisure sport. For those that have sustained an injury in the past or have medical problems that could lead to injury (i.e.: high blood pressure or diabetes), you should approach any new physical exercise program with caution. If you are not sure, please consult with your physician before starting a running program.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF CROSS TRAINING?

Cross training is important when it comes to avoiding injury. When an individual over works their body by repeating the same activity over and over without any rest, they are setting themselves up for an injury. Cross training helps build up the muscles not normally used with your main sport, while giving those muscles normally used, some "active rest."

WHY WORK OUT AT HOME AND NOT AT A GYM?

I have found in my years of fitness and personal training, gyms can often be intimidating. Therefore, they have just avoided exercise all together. By offering one on one training, I feel it has opened the door to individuals who have stayed away from fitness in the past.

IS IT A GOOD IDEA TO EXERCISE OUTSIDE IN THE WINTER?

Obviously you need to dress appropriately for the temperatures and the terrain. Also, you need to be flexible on your goals and fitness expectations during the winter.
